History

The change that we experience in our lives and careers reflect the postmodern adjustments occurring in the world around us. As many of us take our first tentative steps into the working world and begin families of our own, we sense the need to find an expression of faith that more adequately and more relevantly addresses the world around us. As our careers begin to crystallize, and that extremely frightening quarter-life mark comes around, there is a widespread sense of urgency in questions of meaning, purpose, and significance.

Collectively, we as THE EXODUS have made a decision, to find and fulfill our destinies in God, and to not settle for anything less than all He has to offer. We know there are lessons to learn and choices to make. We also sense that our traditional faith that we’ve grown up with, is not prepared to address some of the questions and concerns we have as members of Generation X, a widely misunderstood group of people just beginning to hit our stride on the world scale. And so we begin our journey, in search of the mysterious “more” (more purpose, more significance, more meaning) more of God.
