Core Values
Growth
We want to grow in fullness, being challenged and inspired through worship, prayer, and the Word of God. Growth has to do with our love for God, experiencing Him and being transformed by His presence. We believe we are only truly changed when we experience God in complete wholeness. That means going beyond just an intellectual based understanding of our faith. It is important to know the tenants of what we believe, but the Christian faith is much more than knowledge. It is life and experience. When we meet collectively, we seek to connect with God with our heads, hearts, and experiences.
Mission
God’s love for others; Missio Dei, God’s mission and heart for all people. He is a sending God, who sends us out into the world with the Gospel, to be in the world but not of it, to dynamically interact with the culture that surrounds us so that we might transmit the Gospel accurately. We seek to bring our beliefs to bear in a relevant interaction with the culture that we live in…the dominant culture of our surroundings. (language, pop culture, etc…)
Church
A church, stripped to its barest essentials is a community of God-loving believers who want to find and do His will. That’s what brings us together. We are committed to God, to finding out His will and purpose for our lives, and to obeying that calling and destiny once we’ve found it. We are also committed to each other; to support, love, and help each other in finding all that God has prepared for us.
Movement
More than just a church…we want to foster a lifestyle of growth, of journey, and of becoming. We seek: an understanding and relationship with God that extends well past Sundays, a depth in God and relevance to this world that pervades every facet of our lives, and a passion that inspires others to dream of, hope for, and take part in the future movements of God.
